A new engine

If the Chevrolet Traverse was previously known for its 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque, it will now be equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. This new engine will enable the Chevrolet SUV a power of 315 hp (an improvement of 5 hp over the old V6) and a much more generous 317 lb-ft of torque.

The new engine will be paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, and all versions of the Chevrolet Traverse for sale will be equipped with all-wheel drive. Only the Chevrolet Traverse Z71 will benefit from a more advanced dual-clutch system.

Towing capacity

Among SUVs in its class, the Chevrolet Traverse stands out for its towing capacity. With the new engine, it will be able to tow up to 5,000 lb, enough to satisfy those who want to take their equipment and trailer with them on their outdoor adventures.

A spacious interior

While the aforementioned versions have a more bold style, the Chevrolet Traverse Z71 has -a very singular personality. This version also features:

“More muscular styling, ground clearance raised by more than an inch, off-road tires, a front appearance offering a better angle of attack, underbody skid plates, red towing hooks, exclusive 18-inch wheels, driving modes, a wider track, as well as a towing package and hill descent control.”
